I had to laugh when Alexis told me who she was marrying. No really, I couldn’t believe it!
Alexis and I had been speaking on Instagram for a few weeks as she was on the hunt for the perfect destination wedding photographer. After sending some information back and forth, we decided to go ahead and book a coffee date to meet up in person. At the time, I didn’t know a thing about her fiance.
Right before we met up, I received this message: “Omg! What a small world! So, I’m marrying Corey. You were childhood friends with Chase and Nikita.” I burst out laughing because I couldn’t believe it, and I immediately went down memory lane. The Christensen family were some of my very first friends – I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Corey was engaged, and to such a sweetheart!
Last night I had the absolute pleasure of photographing their engagement session in Downtown Edmonton. We hopped from Henrietta Muir Park to Louise Mckinney park, champagne in hand, and laughed our faces off.
It’s pretty incredible seeing how life works itself out over 20 years. I couldn’t be happier to document such a special moment for an old family friend and his beautiful fiance!
