Waterfalls in Alberta? Heck to the yes, my friend! Ok, now that I’ve cleared that up lets chat about the phenomenal day that belonged to Patrick and Kelsey.
Yesterday was everything they dreamed of! A little bit of rain, a stunning waterfall, and a whole lot of love! We began the day right in the heart of Nordegg getting dressed in final details before heading to Crescent Falls. I have to say – the road up to the falls was intense. The rain was no help for our little rear wheel drive car, but we some how made it through thick, smooshy mud.
When we arrived at Crescent Falls we were delighted to see a ceremony setup among the evergreen trees. We were surrounded by the most gorgeous colored moss with the sound of the waterfall in the distance – it was something straight out of twilight! Kelsey’s and Patrick’s son walked her down the aisle like a true gentlemen. While we encountered some rain during the ceremony – it was nothing short of perfection.
Now, let me tell you something about the waterfall that is Crescent Falls. More importantly, let me tell you about Kelsey, my super bride, who scaled down a muddy mountain in her WEDDING DRESS for these photos. You guys, I don’t even have words other than she is a ROCK STAR. I wish I could have captured us scaling down, but this was a no-gear zone as we required both hands to grip the rope put in place to help us descend.
The waterfall was most important to both Kelsey and Patrick. Come hell or high water we were getting down there! I’m going to let these images speak for themselves, because Crescent Falls truly is a secret hidden gem within 3.5 hours of Edmonton.
Kelsey, Patrick, and friends & family – thank you for being so incredibly adventurous yesterday. Your wild spirits are the reason I adore what I do and I hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!
